This is just a really quick blog on one of the busiest days of the year - the day before Christmas Eve. In our family Christmas Eve is also my grandson Owen's birthday which makes that day doubly exciting when they are in town - as if more excitement and stress were needed at this wonderful time of year!
Today was the day booked for our family photograph, which was duly done at Life photography in Beacon Hill. An endlessly patient photographer dealt with 7 adults, 2 children and one 6 month old baby, not to mention a large puzzled dog! The phrase "herding cats" comes to mind but she took loads of photos and hopefully at least one will result in a picture where everyone is, if not smiling, at least facing the right way and not crying! When I get the winning picture I will post it here.
The previous few days have been amazing with the dog sledding (check), tobogganning (check) and generally enjoying this Christmas season in a truly traditional Canadian way and the best is yet to come.
Have a wonderful Christmas. My next blog may not be until after Christmas and it may even be written from Mexico. Stay tuned.
